Welding power source’s modes designed to help optimize performance

ESAB Warrior Edge 500 DX

ESAB has introduced the Warrior Edge 500 DX multiprocess power source featuring four MIG welding modes—thin, root, root pipe, and speed—as well as an advanced pulse mode. According to the manufacturer, the modes enhance arc stability, help increase control at faster travel speeds, and reduce spatter.

Users set up material after wire spool change on a TFT LCD interface inside the RobustFeed Edge DX wire feeder. The feeder’s front panel features day-to-day controls, job memory buttons, welding mode selection, and RFID badge-controlled access. With a rated welding output of 500 amps at 60% duty cycle, the power source offers an Arc Dynamics function that allows the user to set welding parameters and fine-tune by turning a single knob.
