Titan Robotics’ Atlas 3D printer comes with multiple extrusion options

The Atlas industrial 3D printer from Titan Robotics Ltd. can be configured to extrude resins three ways: pellets, filaments, or pellets and filaments.
The large-format, open-architecture printer extrudes pellets with diameters from 0.6 to 9 mm. According to Titan, pellet extrusion can cut production times by a factor of 10 and allows the printing of more types of materials, including custom-compounded materials such as soft rubber plastics and high-temperature or carbon-fiber-filled plastics.
The Mastiff filament extruder prints parts from open-market 2.85-mm feed stock. The extrusion head is compatible with most FFF-style filaments, including ABS, PC/PBT, PETG, and PLA. The printer can be ordered with single or dual extruders.
The Atlas system comes with a Yaskawa MP3300iec controller and Yaskawa closed-loop AC servo drives on all axes, including the liquid-cooled extruders. Build enclosures range from 30 by 30 by 45 in. to 42 by 42 by 48 in. Top print speed is 350 mm/sec.
